COZY VAN DORLE is a modern fashion knitwear brand - founded in 2023 by Doris Huber. With love and respect for the legacy of her family, who have been making knitwear for over 100 years, Doris is now continuing the family tradition with her own brand.
The Legacy
Doris is the daughter of a master knitter who ran a successful European knitwear business under the name Huber Mode und Tracht for over 40 years. Doris grew up with knitwear, even as a little girl she "bathed" in mountains of balls of wool in her father's knitting mill. However, the family’s love for knitting goes even deeper. The first cardigan under the Huber was created after World War I, when the single mother Maria Huber (pictured below, on the right) offered the first hand-knitted jacket to feed her two sons. When her beautiful cardigans became popular, she started mass production and, with courage and determination, established a small knitting factory and a store where she offered her goods for sale.
A cardigan with history
This history and her love for fashion led Doris to one of the most important brands in the fashion industry in 2002: German VOGUE. Doris was the head of online VOGUE for over ten years before starting her own business as a coach for women in 2017.
The entrepreneur has never let go of the topic of fashion, which is why style coaching is still an essential part of her coaching servicesWorking with women and Doris' personal preference for knitwear provided the impetus for founding COZY VAN DORLE in 2023. After all, there is one fashion piece that Doris considers to be an absolute wardrobe basic: the cardigan.
But the perfect cardigan was hard to find. Doris wanted a modern, casual cardigan with an oversized look that makes her look effortlessly beautiful and can be worn by both - men and women. In short: the perfect cardigan for everyone, every day and every occasion. One for all. That's why Doris designed her own cardigan in 2023 and gave it the name COZY VAN DORLE. The first collection consists of 4 basic colors that could be combined with anything and meet the founder's high standards: high-quality wool from Italy, cozy and warm, washable and fashionably versatile. Since then, the cardigan has been Doris' faithful companion in all situations, from Munich to Mallorca. And reminds her of her beloved father (here in the picture) - to whom the cardigan is dedicated.
